DIANE VINCENT: “TWO REDHEADS ARE BETTER THAN ONE”

Broadway World declares, “ Diane Vincent has it all. She is an exceedingly gifted comedienne and really knows her way around a song. She has nonstop patter that is infectious, that keeps her fans rolling in the aisles and begging for more.” Nonetheless, Diane can't keep her alter ego, Lucy Ricardo, from sneaking into the show. These two redheads “share” the stage in an evening of eclectic songs, shenanigans and the old soft shoe. They have been inseparable since 1995 when Diane was officially licensed by Desilu, too and CBS Worldwide to portray “Lucy” at Universal Studios Hollywood. She appears at the annual Lucille Ball Comedy Festival and throughout the country.

“Lucy Ricardo” is often told she can’t be in the show, but Diane has appeared in too many to mention here. When not portraying the “Queen of Comedy”, Diane stays out of trouble working as an award winning regional theatre actress playing anything from farm hand to floozy, sexpot to servant. Some of her favorite roles include Miss Adelaide, Lina Lamont, Sugar Kowalski, Hedy LaRue, Tessie Turra, Aunt Eller, Auntie Em, Glinda, Mrs. Meers, Doatsie Mae and Gladys Bumps. (Although Diane is a vegetarian, her dream role is Mrs. Lovett.) Favorite places she’s been seen strutting her stuff are The Pasadena Playhouse, Sacramento Music Circus, The Hollywood Bowl and Reprise. Career highlights include working with comedy legends Garry Marshall and Carol Burnett. Her first professional job was playing Bonnie in “Anything Goes” at San Bernardino Civic Light Opera, (remember CLOs…?), where she got her Equity card AND a husband. Along with hubby, Sam Kriger, Diane wrote and starred in the critically acclaimed, award winning musical tribute “Nuttin’ But Hutton” which enjoyed a successful premiere in Los Angeles. She credits her parents for passing down the musical comedy gene - her mother, Betty Vincent, was a professional pianist/vocalist and her late character actor father and funny man, Larry Vincent, was a popular horror film host (Seymour of TV's "Fright Night") back in the 70’s, (remember the 70’s…?)

Her husband and pianist, Sam Kriger, is an award winning Musical Director, Conductor, Arranger, Orchestrator, Composer, Producer, Accompanist and Vocal Coach who has appeared on concert stages throughout the world – from the White House to the Sydney Opera House. Sam’s client list is a "Who's Who" of Stage and Screen – having served for years as Musical Director/Conductor/Arranger for legendary artists Michael Feinstein, Mickey Rooney, Shirley Jones, Anna Maria Alberghetti, Lynda Carter, John Raitt, and Donald O’ Connor. He has also collaborated with such gifted performers as Betty Buckley, Billy Crystal, Alan Cumming, Tyne Daly, Christine Ebersole, Joel Grey, Florence Henderson, Jack Jones, Howard Keel, Lorna Luft, Liza Minnelli, Bernadette Peters, Bonnie Raitt, Tommy Tune and Dick Van Dyke. Sam enjoys a long relationship with Disney/Pixar – most recently vocal coaching Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Josh Gad (Frozen, Frozen II), Jonathan Groff, Evan Rachel Wood (Frozen II), Auli’i Cravalho, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Jemaine Clement, Rachel House (Moana), Anthony Gonzales, Benjamin Bratt (Coco). His appearances as either Conductor and/or Pianist include the Atlanta, Boston Pops, Cleveland, Detroit, Hartford, London, Milwaukee, Nashville, Pasadena Pops, San Diego, St. Louis, Wichita, Utah symphony orchestras. His many musical theatre credits include Swing, Forum, Can-Can, She Loves Me and A Chorus Line, (Sam remembers the 70’s…)
